I missed this in house statement.

Nothing was mentioned in my mid year about abiding by the 3 day a week in office schedule.
Maybe they have not gotten around to getting the message out to my group yet.

Thankfully I’m a telecommuter in the system.

I was just informed they will be putting me on a PIP for not going into the office 2-3 days a week. My manager is in MNY, I am at an different site with a 4+hr commute and I have no other teammates (our team was flagged for being out of compliance for team organization structure/manager has less than 4 direct reports). There is literally zero benefit to me going into an office other than to swipe my badge. They said this is across the board, everyone will be getting a PIP who did not comply with their designated site standards.

After almost 8 years at Citi, working 45-60 hr weeks regularly during the pandemic, receiving numerous recognition awards and shout outs, this seems like such a slap in the face. I guess thanks for the good times, Citi. 👋🏻

I love it. Time for the zoom calls where you hear everyone in the background on zoom calls. The trend has started and it will not stop.

I’m not going 3 times a week, it makes no sense to be in the office and on zoom calls. Put me on probation or terminate me. Citi would need to do the same across the entire company.

I do not have a team to be "Better Together" with at my location.
I have 1 other person that is my department, and we do not do the same job.

My manager, who has not been in the office in at least 4 years, is the one that will supposedly deliver the message during my review. Can't wait to have that conversation.

Yes, was this actually communicated internally? I don’t think it was. I’m fine going in 3 days but I don’t want to be penalized if every so often I go in 2 days.

For my department (about 25 people) in particular, I’d say about 40% are listed as telecommuters and my interim director is also a telecommuter. Maybe another percent commute to a location that doesn’t have anyone else on the team. The rest are in NY.

if they start to enforce this hard, how do they maintain consistent standards? Seems those who commute have more ways to lose.
