It was also a leadership choice to put the company in such financial difficulties with their acquisitions and subsequent failures. Now the employees are paying for it.

The best most sycophants on this site have to tout is, we are dead last, Stankey and company are following the other companies to mediocrity, we haven’t had enough employee reduction or benefit elimination yet due to employee disinterest, quite quitting, etc.. . Sycophants should be saying, we are number 1 in the market, those other companies are behind us, watch us grow and innovate. Sad!

Keep drinking the Kool aid mo--n ! You fail to understand or reality much if not all innovation is being done by vendors and not on any ATT building with very lack of oversight! Spare me the BS. This all about cutting costs. Randy and Stankey put us in a path to bankruptcy. Bit a BIT more than they can chew. Period. Too much debt, bleeding customers and. Not enough cash flow. Doomed and go look at the stock price and mkt cap. Pathetic

Stinky could know it if he would do serious internal research. I spent 10+ years in the office, so I was willing to speak with him about the topic and provide the direction. It could sound funny, but with whom to speak if not with own employees?

Google Dr. Gleb Tsipursky, he’s far from an expert. They have 13 employees and Glen isn’t one of them. Probably a contractor fly by night blogger that recently got a PHD in humanities 35 years of combined experience. Glen several books on this topic, as well as his cutting-edge thought leadership, including in over 400 articles he published and more than 350 interviews he gave in prominent venues, doesn’t make him an expert. He looks maybe 28. I read nothing but gibberish & not at all interesting. You would be a fool to believe in his nonsense, typical trending nonsense.

This editorial was written by someone whose business is advising about administrating hybrid and remote work. In other words, the author has a dog in the fight.

The tip-off is in the title. It might be a good idea, or a bad idea, but it isn't the hyperbolic "insanity".

They may have a right to ask but it still is an obvious attempt to reduce HC. In most cases it is the definition of insanity as stated in the article with studies done by renowned universities. Read it sycophant and tell me that most RTO cases makes any business sense, the exception is for planned mentoring of newbies.

What many people on this forum don't understand is that remote workers do many mission-critical roles. Much of CSO has been remote over the last decade. If you think some kid fresh out of college can step in and take over the day-to-day work of someone with over a decade of knowledge inside AT&T, and there won't be hiccups, then you are sadly mistaken. But what you will see when those workers get hired for remote work at another company is missions critical aspects fall through the cracks, leading to leaks, compromises, network intrusions, and then fines upon fines upon fines from regulatory agencies because all the mission-critical workers complaining about RTO are working remotely for a competitor while the rest of you all are telling them to suck it up.

No one says they don't "have every right" BTW, people are saying it's stupid. Two, very different things. Anyway, trolls gonna troll. I'm sure we'll see you in the next one.

Also, am I the only one who thinks "definition of insanity" is overused and silly? If you look up the actual definition, it's not even what everyone claims it is, but whatever, it fits I guess.

Quit your complaining, so sick of it. AT&T has every right to ask us to RTO, this includes those who have been Tele workers for dozens of years. Don't like it, please quit, your departure will hopefully help save someone else's job.
