IT teams are safe, no worries for me
@zsj+1nkslKRH… So basically the management team doesn’t value the people who engineer vehicles and their parts!? And we work for an automotive company! That’s scary. Or maybe it’s a case of “if I don’t fully understand what you do we must not need it” which is also scary for an automotive company.
I had my LL2 webex me to tell me I am done. My badge still shows active and company phone still works. No meeting notice, nothing. Said cuts will continue until at least Thursday. Also, apparently trying to make me feel better, More coming in the fall. YEA!
My supervisor (LL6) is on vacation this week. I have not been let go yet, but I’m wondering if I would be considered safe at this point
A friend of mine who has been at Ford for at least 25 years LL5 now, and top performer, was let go today. The new management team which most came from non-auto industry did not value what auto engineers do & did not care about the work they do.
Above poster is correct. They are finished.
I talked with my son; he said his team was going to be impacted as well. What that actually meant was that somebody at an LL level (higher up the food chain) was let go, which impacted the team. Probably the same for you. According to my son, they are done with everybody except those that are on PTO.
