Saw the writing on the wall years ago and switched industries. Own my own consulting firm. I guess I could PIP myself, but it’s unlikely. Semi-retired, and I’m nowhere near 50.
Original point still stands. Showing up at the office won’t make your job more secure. Never has.

Companies have been outsourcing for decades, and being present in the office has never offered anyone greater job security.
This is just more scaremongering to force people back to the office in the interest of propping up commercial real estate values/tax subsidies, and for st-----g the fragile egos of managers.
