For those who got affected by the layoff what's the timeline post which one can join Ford again full-time?

@1npa "they would have moved the person to another area prior to letting him/her go if they wanted to keep that person. "

That's not what I'm talking about. A manager may have a bug up his asset about someone because they disagreed with him in a meeting. It happens. I'm talking about someone with a perfect match with a job in another area not even being allowed to apply for it. Ford used to allow people to move like that. Something changed.

Career Transition Program was not a layoff. The wording during the final 1on1s was carefully framed to convey the message that ones skills were unsuited for the needs of Ford Motor Company.

Back on topic:
"You will not be eligible for reemployment with Ford directly or assigned to perform work for Ford through an agency or otherwise, except where prohibited by law."

God, no wonder Ford is going downhill so fast- that amount of sheer id--ts is outstanding.

If you were a Ford FTE and SIRP’ed you can never go back under any circumstances. Why would you want to anyway?

I wonder if this is just an arbitrary policy or if there is some legal reason.

Most people had no clue they were going to be fired and some worked with other areas that had existing openings that they could have moved to if a warning had been given. The decent thing for the company to do would be give people a week or two after their notification to transfer to those other areas. I know. “Decent” and “Ford” are contrasting concepts.

I’m very surprised that OP would want to reapply to Ford after getting laid off.

Read your separation paperwork. It states you won’t be rehired.

There will be nothing to go back to.. Ford will no longer be based out of Dearborn, MI. You can reapply to Ford, you'll just have to relocate to Mexico, Brazil and/or India.
