Officer, AVP and VP titles used to be earned. Now USB hands them out automatically based on job grade. Thus rendering them meaningless.

If you "would never take this job" then why are you still here?

People actually have to interview for their job? I wish they interviewed me because I wou never take this job.

2 months in, I still do know what my job title or pay is. Only told you will know in a couple of months.

So almost 1 year into Legal day one, they will fight=re all this out?

Almost 7 months after "legal day 1" (12/1/22), there are instances of people suddenly being required to submit resumes, formally "apply" for (in Workday) and be interviewed by HR for the role they're already in. I have never seen anything like it.

US Bank isn't honoring titles from Union Bank. Was told today. Sorry Union Bank employees nothing good for you at US Bank.

Banking is a commodity. When you say talent what are you offering to be considered talented. We are not building the next big breakthrough in banking. Let’s get real about talent. Hardworking and conscious employees of course but talent is few are far between and definitely not in banking. Just like banking you as an employee are a commodity.

Using the At Will employees proves the problem. If you don't treat and take care of your employees you are doomed to continue to struggle and lose talent. US Bank doesn't have this leadership as currently constructed. They have master and slave mentality based on fear. Keep hiring from the outside and think that will change the culture. It's leadership that doesn't know what the term means is the real cancer to the company.

We are “At Will” employees. US bank can do whatever the heck they want about titles so long as they do not break federal employment laws. Do not get entitled about Titles. MUFG also downgraded bunch of MD’s to Directors. Bank of America downgraded their employee Grades because they were getting top heavy. Happens all the time.

How are they able to take away corporate titles like VP or AVP? Those are earned through hard work and merit.

I think there are a lot of USB folks that should be laid off or downgraded. But UB folks have been treated badly and don’t care about titles anymore. They are smart to take severance and run from this place.

I was told not to tell anyone my title. Also told my pay grade and title will change around October.

They really treat UB employees well. Sarcasm

US Bank didn't honor any titles transferring from Union Bank. They say they value your talent but at every instance they minimize you to an entry level teller

Is it lay-off day today?

Yup, they are throwing out 60 day notices. No matter, USB is garbage.

Majority of Union bank folks have been laid off or on 60-120 day notice. Who cares about titles. Perhaps those who have intentionally joined this miserable organization. US Bank titles and grades will be revised in fall so get ready for another downgrade 😈
