FAA program layoffs

Is L3Harris laying off the FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure program now that Verizon won the Federal Aviation Administration Enterprise Network Services (FENS) contract?

Verizon is hiring for FENS but it will take time to rid the FAA network of L3Harris intraplex boxes and replace with modern equipment. The Verizon NOCC will take over then. Probably wont be telnetting into 1980’s equipment anymore.

Nice try Verizon. And no, FTI has 10 more years… no layoffs anytime soon.

Verizon is already hiring people for the FENS program if you want to move to Texas. https://mycareer.verizon.com/jobs/r-1008946/senior-technician-network-operations/
