Rule of 75 for managers means nothing now. As of 1/1/24 the only retiree healthcare choices you have are Stinky's AT&T/Aetna Dis-advantage plan or Uncle Sam's Medicare and gap insurance that you will have to pay for. The pension has been sold to some nebulous insurance company/private equity firm. If you get a chance to get a lump sum, take the money and RUN!

Go in Quantum and put a personal commitment to collaborate 4 hours a day f2f. Then don’t be available for any conference calls those 4 hours. They asked for it.

Bought enough microwave popcorn for every microwave in the office tomorrow. The odor of burnt popcorn will greet the masses RTO by 10am.

“did JS ever consider that implementing a completely rushed RTO policy to Dallas and Atlanta tomorrow that has potential to create utter chaos on a demoralized employee base”

Rushed policy? RTO was announced several months back. Get on board!

If tomorrow goes as badly as many of us think it will - did JS ever consider that implementing a completely rushed RTO policy to Dallas and Atlanta tomorrow that has potential to create utter chaos on a demoralized employee base ... is being implemented in the 2 states with very relaxed g-n laws and open carry policies.

Pray there are no headlines about the company other than financials are bad

I’ll be dropping any calls I can’t hear due to all of the background noise. Also have updated my outlook calendar and I’m not available for calls before 10 from noon to 1 or after 2. I have to make time for all this f2f collaboration that RTO was all about. Two can play this game.

Managers are not the only ones that are being affected thats why the 75 rule is still being talked about. And for those thinking the office being loud or not doing your work. You wont have to worry about going into the office when they run the numbers they will just do a surplus cause they will figure out your not needed. And lastly they dont want the majority of you back in the office so most of you will be surplused anyway then you will realize you took still having a job for granted. That is all FOR NOW

Next week when Atlanta and Dallas are back in the office, I hope every call I have with them has the background noise of an office with a hundred people talking at once. Please don’t try to find a quiet spot for calls. They want us all back, they need to see (hear) what that means.

I've been a remote worker for 12+ years. It's Saturday and started to eat hard boiled eggs and broccoli so I can drop some bo--s in the office Monday morning.

“Going to be a real loss when I don’t do any work until I can get to the office,”

It is extremely doubtful there will be any impact at all.

SE always has the lump sum option.

"Go to the pension calculator and put in dates before and after you rule of 75 date. Before it the lump sum option is not available. "

Yes it is, for many people. Before MR75 it's not a 'service pension' and therefore highly penalized, but many people do have a lump sum option, self included.

Rule of 75 still means something. You cannot get the lump sum without it. No benefits but it still matters when you leave the company. Go to the pension calculator and put in dates before and after you rule of 75 date. Before it the lump sum option is not available.

Rule of 75 means nothing for Management any more. Why do people keep talking about it?

Going to be a real loss when I don’t do any work until I can get to the office, spend an hour trying to find a place to sit because no assigned desks anymore and someone is sitting in the seat I reserved, take my lunch break like I’m supposed to, clock out and go home at 5, no longer taking calls, emails or messages after I leave. They can kiss it. They want me in the office, they are going to get office hours only.

This too will fail. Give it a couple months. When folks start back working 9-5 office hours only and productivity hits the floor, yeah. Companies that already did RTO are already reverting back due to loss of productivity and loss of talent, but that’s ok. Keep living in the past, hope you retire soon, I’m sure you’re already rule of 75 with your way of thinking.
