You have my sympathy. We spend a big part of our lives at work. My own situation is not great either. You did not mention what causes you to be miserable at Schwab? If you do, people in this forum may be able to help you.

@tui+1nvdE8vu are you serious? They're forcing us to return to the office and you're on about living in Africa?

True, there are time where the job is miserable and sometimes you just want to call it quits. But in the end, it pays the bills. However, before you actually quit, make sure you are have a job offer somewhere else in writing and signed. If you quit without another job, healthcare is going to be very expensive, not to mention all other daily necessities like a roof over your head and food for you and the family, and don't forget about the mortgage and property tax and car insurance and college education for the kids and the electric bill and the water/sewage bill and the internet bill and the cell phone bill and the dog food and the dental insurance and the sudden emergencies like flooding or roof collapse or the list goes on. Be glad you have a job, recession is coming big time for long. Life could be worse. You could be living in the African where you have to walk miles to get a few gallons of water or have a disease with no doctors in town to help you or be a medical resident and have to deal with all the depression of seeing sick patients all day.
