I was laid off from MCK twice. Exactly seven years apart. Decided after the second layoff in April 2021 that I was not going to stay even though I had worked for them for almost 20 years.
I hated the fact that my job disappeared because of RPA and outsourcing to GenPact but that is the nature of the business.
I have to say that I was treated very professionally both times I was laid off and collected severance from the 2nd layoff.
I often wonder how things are now with the advent of AI and if there will be more layoffs
I was able to find a job after my second layoff and did not stay unemployed for very long.
