Starting to look for remote work outside

sick of playing bosses' games to make us come in somehow - holding town halls and important meetings in-person "required" on days we are supposed to be remote, yet the bosses never show up.
Started to look for full-time remote today. found a few good roles in just under an hour. Wish me luck!

Do it. I did last year and sold my house, bought a smaller home, and now I live 6 miles from the beach! Because I knew I would make enough from selling the house and going with a more modest home I knew I had more options salary wise. I’ve been working from home for a year where I want to live and live it!

It's cheaper to work form. So maybe less pay for the work. Would you take a cut in pay because you now have no transportation costs, you don't have to buy work clothes (you can work in PJs)?

FRTO. I worked remote for years before COVID, and it was great. My ratings were fantastic. Now I go to a building with no directs/peers/manager, for no reason. It's all BS for tax credits and to prop up commercial real estate.

Its rough out there. Good Luck to you!

Its pretty easy and not as bad, to show up to work at JPMC and have a laid back environment. They don't even care if you do anything, as long as you come in 3 days a week :-) But if you want to do something, you can do it here ... just need to look at mobility and find a place that lets you do what you're looking to do.

Once you leave this behind for greener pastures, you gotta bust your a-s to make it in the next place. Last year have been rough. Some people left for WFH gig, who eventually found themselves without a job after just 1 year, with all the lay offs happening everywhere. Not saying that will be you, but pick your next place carefully, is all I'm saying.

Some of us have been here long enough to see potential future employers fail or be taken over by JPMC and in rare cases both :-)
Good luck to you.

Post ID: @1kmz+1nxDz7TI - Go Frick yourself. Work can be done from home, remotely. Many of the companies that now condemn it, were the very same ones that outsource entire departments across the world so they save money. It was convenient for them but now that the workers want to do it themselves, the bosses are coming up with excuses. You're probably one of them. STFD.

Good luck.

Lazy boy.

Sit in a chair watching TV all day.

Money for nothing and your kicks for free.
