A job that just pays the bills

That's how I see it, and I believe many others, here is a job that just pays the bills. I used to love working here, but I've lost passion for my job since then. Do you remember when you lost motivation for working here?

They won't see the effects or feel the consequences of talented people leaving until it's too late. They will look back on this monumental fu-k up and regret it. By then we'll be gone. I hope we can all find a new employer that makes us happy again. Good luck to everyone.

Same for me on the RTO email. Walt had a little hissy fit that has negatively impacted 66k employees. That is insane to me. Where are the checks and balances on power? I really wish we had stronger labor protections in the US. It is inconscionable to intentionally hire people as fulltime telecommuters and then completely renege on that agreement.

When Walt broke his word. I came from Green. I had my complaints, but I was finally starting to get comfortable and thinking I could make some changes around here in due time. Now I'm second guessing everything I hear from upper management. We simply cannot trust them. My director has been blindsided by his leadership numerous times and down the chain it goes. They live in an Ivory Tower. Nothing like the companies they have acquired. And they claim they have an amazing culture. If they only knew.

It was the RTO e-mail, but for totally different reasons. If this directive had been given to people leaders and discussed with concessions requested, I am quite sure most of us would have agreed to spend more time in the office. Time in the office while difficult in today's economy is not the problem. It is the means by which it was brought about, to be intentionally incendiary. Purposeful hostility to encourage quitting as opposed to laying off is unequivocally disgusting behavior. In the weeks since that e-mail was sent I have essentially lost all passion I had for my position, and subsequent poorly-communicated directives have only disappointed me further. Every day I used to go into the office racing to be at the front of the line to beat everyone in metrics, now I'm just skating by to meet the bare minimum while I polish my resume. Why should I care? I absolutely --foolishly in retrospect-- believed I had lucked out in working with the one company that really did view its employees like family.

Family wouldn't do to me what Walt and the EC has done. I've been through hostile employers, and CS is by no means the worst. They are beyond anything I have ever experienced in disappointing me, however, because they tricked me into thinking they were better. Leadership here is just a series of talking heads with a bigger dollar sign, these people are the same no matter where you go and they will -always- try to eat you alive. Thanks for keeping me on my toes, Walt. It won't happen again at my next employer, not ever again.
