I'm sure there are plenty of options with the same pay and same benefits out there for all of you who are unhappy here and keep complaining. The rest of us will have to find the strength to continue without so many of the "best" people leaving, but I'm sure we'll manage somehow in the end.

"If you don't like Chevron, move on" ... no thanks!!!! You move on... butt face!!! You seemed to be bother by the comments here so go away and don't ruin the party.
I have actually been keeping in touch with friends who left and are at other places and also get offers myself occasionally. My conclusion is no, at least in my case, I like my position and there are no places out there with as good and definitely not better benefits and comp. But I will still complain all that I want about things that I don't like, thanks.
This is obviously one of the middle management threads. This website is really spyware for Chevron middle management to capture just what people are thinking. It is controlled by chevron. Middle management doesn't really do any work. They sit around collecting bloated paychecks and expect the understaffed/lean employees to pick up the slack and remain billable to pay their bloated as--s. They also overburden the high performing employees by adding more responsibilities while they reward the low performing employees and allow them to do little to no work. This way they can keep their cost recovery down while bragging in management meetings about how great they are.
Some people are only happy when they can complain. Women, for example.
Complainers complain. I choose to make the best of each day and each morning announce, “another glorious day”. You don’t know when that heart @tt@ck or $tr0ke is going to hit you!
Is this related to layoffs?
Don't leave - RESIST
OP is just parroting what the managers and HR types say to each other when they get together. Chevron's problem (many other big companies have the same issue) is that once they establish strategy and policy, it is heretical to challenge it, tantamount to treason. OP should take a look at those who have left voluntarily (not layoffs or retirements), particularly after the 2015 and 2020 purges, he/she/they will find that while not all, there is a good percentage of high performers in those leaving, whose only 'crime' was suggesting that Chevron could be better if it approached things differently; their opinions were instead branded as 'complaining' and 'not team players' (right, OP?).
Meeeow.
Someone needs more kool-aid. Better post to work-day, you’ll feel better
