"I still don't understand why we have a asset cap if BofA, US Bank, JPM all had the fake accounts opened too."

It actually goes back to 2008 when bad financial practices melted down the global economy and all the banks caused it but got off with no penalties at all. In fact most of the big banks got much bigger because so many other midsize and small banks went out of business.

The consequence? Nothing. Not a single bank was punished in any way for causing the 2008 global financial collapse and the public was livid for years. Wells Fargo had a minor but highly visible scandal and suddenly those years of bottled up angst and hate towards banks had a target: Wells Fargo. So WF had to bear the full weight of the hatred of banks going back to 2008.

ALL the big banks have been committing bad acts and all of them have been paying fines and penalties as a result. WF got hit the hardest though because it was the smallest of the 4 big banks, thus the government knew they could limit the impact to the country while earning public trust by ultra severely punishing the smallest of the big banks as a scapegoat for every bad practice of every bank's bad acts since 2008.

I still don't understand why we have a asset cap if BofA, US Bank, JPM all had the fake accounts opened too. Why do we have to lose our jobs for bad sales people from a decade ago, crazy.

Are you kidding me?!? Did the c suite not watch the weekend news? If anything they need to claw jobs back to the US from India as a sign that they are taking quality systems development and security seriously. Get ready for more fines and egg on our faces...

The "leaders" view everything based on job title instead of the many different soft and hard skills needed along with talent in the areas of communication and knowledge.

They're setting the company up to crash and burn. It's foolish to move that much work offshore in a really short period of time. And think of all the intellectual capital they're throwing out the door. We have fines from shady behavior, deposits not showing up and god knows how many other issues are lurking.

But hey, just fire 1000's of people and move it to newly hired people in India. WCGW?
