so easy to say don't sign, but if you don't sign then no severance and a lawsuit can take up to 2 years to even be heard. Cobra is very expensive, many need that severance and the paperwork they make you sign is designed to protect them. So much better for workers in Europe
If you have been at Dell for 20+ years and you get WFR. .. you get a separation package. If you retire you don't get anything. Wouldn't it then be beneficial to get WFR and then move on? You haven't lost any 401k by doing so... I'm just saying, when I get to retirement age WFR is my best bet it looks like. Blessing in disguise?
If done right, it works. I've seen it in other companies. Get the story straight and prep with a lawyer to see if you have a case/story. If so, come prepared ahead of your 1x1.
Hey, for what it’s worth, the most useless and over paid folk on my team are all over 60. No reason to keep an i9 when the i6 and i7s on team so most of the work.
And seriously, dell certainly is smart enough to balance it out so it’s not all old white dudes. Sure it ducks but believe in yourself and Just pick yourself up by the bootstraps and stop playing victim.
