Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Are we in a growth phase or not

A few weeks ago we were told that the transformation has been completed and we are in pivot to growth from this year.

All we still see are Managers implementing and talking cuts, they don't seem to be interested in growth.

Is sieze the market, pivot to growth, inflexion point reached, all just rubbish?

If not can someone wake up the managers who are still on pivot to cuts and tell them to focus on growth.

Or better still get some decent managers in.

C'mon gang, the growth phase we are in is growing my total compensation for a job well done. Growth for you and the business is a secondary consideration to me and my precious Finchypoo.

So what can the 130k minions do? Find a new job at another company that gives fair merit increases and get the he-l away from DXC already.

The people in the UK are dragging the ship down because they are waiting for their 2 year serverance and not doing the work required.

The India folks for the most part are useless without detailed scripts to perform the simplest actions.

And let’s not forget the people on the other side of the pond, the US chaps are waiting for retirement or don’t want to start over again proving themselves to a new company

Simple answer No you’re not in a growth phase. Your trying to survive by any means possible short of pushing the board out the door with no golden parachute (they failed and shouldn’t get anything, when fired !)

OP - all of your questions are fair. Let me try to answer them.

Growth - This is happening in negative terms, cause we have too many high paid exec's who are not held accountable. We have very limited tech talent but a huge overhead of managers and paper pushers. so that is the reality - aka nothing gets done.

inflection point, Pivot to Growth, essential evolution are all borrowed Axe-center nomenclature, we all just use it and you guys believe it - essentially lipstick on the pig.

wake up the dxc managers - all these poor guys are half decent administrators, but with no strategy they are stuck. Problem is we have too many of these clueless people, who get wfr direction up and these guys just play politics.

All in all, we are ripe for scrap sale in bits. The executives are fully aware of this and are milking as much as they can.

So what can the 130k minions do?
