Salaried needs to strike as well and come up with a list of their own demands. Seriously, someone needs to consider leading this.

Salary Workers Unite - Quiet strike and support the UAW!
Um, no. Have fun doing it though.
will there be a two months of strike....that should put this stock under $2
I'd go on strike tomorrow with the only demand being to fire the entire executive level of this company that are running this place into the ground. Absolutely direction-less.
Do this many people really have no understanding of how the salaries positions and labor contracts work? Scary.
Back in the late 80's the Body CAD/Draftsman and some testing departments were unionized by the SEOW (Society of Engineering Office Workers). The union wanted to go on strike and Ford simply stated go ahead, and while you're at it take your personal belongings with you because we'll just outsource everything. Ford made their point and the union backed down. I believe some Body Engineering employees are now under the UAW which makes more sense since you have a much larger representation. PDC also has UAW personnel at the shipping/receiving dock and maintenance. I hope all goes well for everyone strike or no strike. If there is a strike, the union should demand a complete overhaul of executive management since the Board of Directors is useless.
"Someone"? That's the problem...some salaried people say they want to join a union, but nobody does anything about it. If you're serious, you can call the UAW to ask how to organize. Otherwise it's all moot.
If the US salaried workforce went on strike those employees would be replaced in a heartbeat with people from Mexico, India and South America.
Solidarity and stick it to the man!
Just call UAW and find a way to join.
