2 years ago they did a huge lay off the week of Thanksgiving. Rumor is it’ll be the same week this year.

No one knows. No explanations. Sounds like MM AMs are privy to this confidential information and were told more than anyone else in the company, including the “dismissed”.

AM’s will manage accounts that spend over 20k per year. Anything lower that that will not have a dedicated person but there will be a team of account specialist using a pooled/chat system. So less ppl handling more accounts.

Some misinformation below. Account managers aren’t being replaced by AI but AI style programs will assist in the creation of accounts but this type of technology has existed for some time, Staples just wasn’t using it. AMs manage the existing account/relationship, they’re not acquisition

Account managers being replaced by AI. Inbound only. Doesn’t seem very proactive to build accounts but looks like a lot of inside sales folks will be going. Plus a change to outside sales comp plan will make many others walk away. This plus many other dept having to return to office will trim some fat for them

Does this have anything to do with the top secret meetings being held across the us with the sales team? Asset Protection Directors reaching out with confidential discussions? Uneasy times.

If you’re going to freak out every time someone posts on this page, don’t come on to it. It’s called the lay off page, not protect your feelings page. The entire page is based on rumors whether they be true or not. Stay away if you can’t handle it

Give us a week, the estimated number impacted and from which divisions if you have all the answers. Show us that you are credible and not just a clown flipping employees out. This is cruel.
