I am of the opinion that you should not worry too much ahead of time, however, I fully understand everyone who is feeling constant stress from the layoffs. Is it worth working in such an environment? I'm thinking of leaving even for a slightly worse offer, the most important thing is to preserve my health.

To further your career you may want to mentor others. Be a team player. Show your boss that you are a leader. Stand out in your group as the "Go to Person." This way if there are layoffs, you may be able to do a lateral transfer. Also other co-workers may recommend you to work for another company. Always keep your options open. Try to be positive. Remember Chase offers great benefits. Hopefully you are able to put money in your 401K so that Chase can match some of it. The legal insurance plan you can buy during open enrollment is fantastic. I got a Living Trust, and it cost me only the notary fees. Chase is generous with vacation and sick time and maternity leave. Take advantage of all that Chase offers. Many companies pay more salary, but offer less benefits.
WADU ; look it up, evil jpmorgan with sinister directors- #15years employed VP
Do I need to get layoff to received my early retirement or what are my option. I’m 58yrs been with the bank. 25 yrs of service . I will get penalized taking my 401k?
I was laid off 3 or 4 times in 13 years. Always scrambled and fpund another internal gig. Last time I said eff this and took my severance. Took a pay cut but much less stress, better QOL work from home 100% since covid. But I still fear layoffs..you carry that with you. Trying to make it a few more years and take an early retirement. I'm too old for this $hit.
I got laid off in February.. best thing that happened. Quit worrying, it’s going to happen. If you are in home lending reach out those who were apart of the cuts… Chase and Jamie are evil
That is why it’s important not to teach people your job completely as they could potentially be your replacement. Never show them any tips and tricks on how to do your job so in case when they lay you off for cheaper labor, they will have a hard time taking over haha
