Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Please Stop Posting False Information. Do Your Own Research

There is a bunch of false info floating around on here about the severance pay plan. Everyone just needs to go to MyHR and read the “Severance Pay Plan” document and and all of your questions will be answered. For example, contrary to this forum, you actually keep your severance and your 60 days of pay if you get a job within the 60 day notice period. Pleas just read the info for yourself, and don’t take guidance from a bunch of anonymous blowhards on the Internet.

omg here we go again... @uwm+1o7idyG6 You do NOT lose your lump sum if you resign during the 60 day notice period (assuming you're accepting a role outside of Schwab). Listen to OP and read the severance policy, geesh. It's even quoted directly for you in another thread.

Do not listen to the OP, who is spreading the mis-information. You will lose your lump sum severance if you resign and take another offer during your 60 day period. End of story. This is clearly posted on the severance page.

Totally right! Let me head over to jumpword “number of employees to be impacted” or “timing of layoff”.
The firm is so clear in their communication. Providing me with all the information I need to feel valued and confident in my employment… for the long term.
No need for this blog of cobbled together information. Thank you!

So one piece of wrong info? Looks like rest is what people what said. They will fire you and get you off the books before Dec 31st so you don’t get your bonus.
