Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

New line targets laughable

This “your store needs 7 phone lines a day” cr-p is ridiculous. My store wasn’t even attaining that before Covid and we are slower than ever. If people didn’t have to bring back their trades or their phones didn’t go into sos we wouldn’t even have any traffic. The 3/4 upgrades we get are broken devices, not people coming in because they want to buy anything but have no other choice… retail is dead and company just stressing everyone out because if they think if they throw out a magic number people will just magically make it happen in an environment that’s not trending in that direction and not even listening to what is customer bases wants. Worse plans ever, no one wants the stupid perks and people keep their devices so much longer because there is really no big difference anymore between versions.

Pretty sure this is a Wireless issue and should be on the Wireless board. Maybe Wireless should join the Union then you might have a voice. Til then, like it or lump it.

Our store does about 1/2 to 2/3rds the pre covid volume but we also have half the reps. And it’s steadily picking back up. Don’t think it’s entirely a death of retail thing but an increased competition from TMobile actually becoming good. Hopefully getting approval to get all of the new 5g bands cut on will stop the bleeding, it’s notably better in the area’s I’ve been in that got cut on within the last week. First bit of actual good news I’ve seen in a long time for us. Now to get rid of Hans and Sampath

Clearly this is a Vz Wireless specific topic and I am curious why this is posted here and not on the VzW thread?
