Can anyone name one thing we led or became the leader besides x86 where we had a competitive moat that hid our incompetence ?

Intel became the number one provider of free bananas given to Intel employees. I've seen Indian employees walking out of Intel with half a dozen bananas to feed their families.
This was of course before all the recent layoffs.
