I was a PSG26 for the 10 years before retirement. While on the job, I enjoyed the power of squashing the peons like cockroaches. The power was intoxicating at times. Today I’m happily retired and much calmer in my demeanor. Age has a way making you calm down.
By the time you get to psg 25, the range of possible starting salaries is broad, maybe upwards of 70%, depending on your prior experience. One specific number would be misleading.
$7.49/hr + taxes + tip/CIP

Tell them to make you a low low 26. If you get a 25 on hire on you will never get your next promotion. 26 and 25 salaries overlap and you get your stock options with a 26.
