Thanks OP for all the intel. Really helpful for the rest of us who are bracing for impact. Is it fair to assume you were in ICG O$T and in production support? If you don’t mind sharing specifics will be of great help. If you don’t prefer to share - completely understand.. although it should not matter to you

OP again. I made this post to help you Citi folk out there that are afraid. Again Citi is providing an immense amount of help to people that have been removed from their positions. This doesn't mean you should sit and wait. Start applying to jobs now if you're concerned. Apply to jobs both outside and inside of Citi. I was caught off guard with the elimination of my role and it can happen to anyone. If you apply to jobs now at least you will have the ball rolling and in a better position than if you wait. it takes time to get a new job and you won't know exactly when your day will come if it comes. Good luck everyone! This will be my last post as OP unless someone has a really good question that HR won't or can't answer.

OP here. Ive been out a week now. They are paying people in lieu of WARN notice. Some
People get 60 days and others 90 days. It depends on which state you live in. What this means is you will be on Citi payroll for either 60 or 90 days but you will not be working as your access will be revoked and badges to enter building will be cancelled. During that time you will get your severance. After the 60 or 90 day period you can apply for unemployment if you haven’t found a new job. So for that person who says its weird, its not. People have already been cut and they are cutting more people as the days go by.

Its weird.. How are you already laid off when the company is yet to make decisions on the overhaul? Doesn't add up what we are hearing through rumors, town halls, etc.?

WARN is by state - some 60, some 90, but only if Citi doesn’t post in advance and the layoff qualifies.

Yes re-employment assistance for internal roles and assistance for employment outside of Citi. Just know if you’re role is eliminated Citi will try to help you.

Hey everyone OP here. I was on the tech side. From my understanding theres no specific criteria except for they are looking to save money when making cuts. I was not in IA however no one is safe. Ill come back tomorrow I should have more information in the afternoon.

OP - Thanks for sharing the group = ICG. Can you please shed light on the team and the role? Are you in Internal Audit by chance? Also all other C12 and C13s under the senior manager you indicated - are they IA in ICG as well? Any insight here will give a good picture to all. Thanks

Ratings are given before self assessments are due in the system. Most managers ask for a one sheet of your self assessments/accomplishments prior to calibrations, outside of workday, so they can use it to help fight your case in calibrations though.

not likely perf related as end of year calibrations have not occurred yet and employee self assessments have not yet opened though I am convinvced ratings are completed prior to mgt even reading the self assessments

Not sure if it was performance related. Every year Ive been ranked a 2. I was the only one axed on my immediate team but not the only one under same Sr Manager. There were several other C12 and C13 let go.

Saying it “must be performance related” is 1) mean , 2) based on zero info, and 3)used as a crutch to give yourself a false sense of security and rationalize it a way to make you feel safer. At his expense.

It is really hard to focus @1yoa+1oOKDlah. I'm trying to work on projects, attend meetings that seem like keeping up appearances, and productivity roadblocks changes due to management shifting or leaving. I find myself drifting into thought and I have to take a break and walk away for a bit. Of course it's much worse when it's an office day.

Some people are in denial about the scope of the cuts. Jane said clearly that less is more. They said that there are 8 phases which means far reaching to all levels. Sorry for people being cut but things will get rocky soon. Hard to focus right now.
