Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Does anyone feel Unacknowledged or Unthanked these days ?

Is there a lack of work-life balance?
Is your manager unappreciative of your work?
Do you feel pressure after all the recent layoffs?
Do you sense that regardless of your efforts, the management doesn't seem to care about you anymore?

All these new stupid terms... quiet blah blah... It's always been around. It's called managing a person out of the business. Basically make the job very unsatisfying, assign tedious work, and wait for performance to drop and slap them with an improvement plan if they haven't quit yet.

It's called "quiet firing" and it's happening in many forms; RTO, manager routinely misses or reschedules 1:1's (or constantly takes phone calls while in the 1:1) isolates team member from the rest of the team by assigning meaningless work, manager raining praise & recognition to everyone except that team member, and many more.

It’s not a new feeling. I started feeling unacknowledged and and unthanked when Craig Barrett became CEO.

I feel fortunate that my management appreciates me. I just wish they were more competent too.

Don’t knock Costco! Their hotdog has its own Wikipedia page.

Intel does not care about their employees or their families. They are constantly ki-ling benefits.
Costco treats employees better than Intel.
