Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How are lower and middle management selected?

Self explanatory… roles include ROC OM, SEG, CWW SEG, RSM, SPM, COS, FE COS, BE COS, ROC eng, PROD manager, Manufacturing Managers (most but not all here), SGLs, NSE, DSE.. These are certified mo--ns across shifts without any real world experience in manufacturing or key deliverables, let alone an understanding of manufacturing - feedback is exclusive to the USA job sites.

How many layers of management does it take to move a single lot through the Intel fab?

Why not trim the fat and send the rewards to the working techs in the fab?

My old Mfg dept just went through a combining of a mutiple of departments.
Only difference after 12 months? A lot of new management roles created and filled.
Not 1 new Engineer or Technician hired.
Happy I left.
