All this speculation and guessing about layoffs is guaranteed to get some people to decide they want out of this mess and quit. And every single person who leaves on their own means more money saved for Citi. They are doing this on purpose. Destroying our mental health just to save a few bucks.

Attrition only helps if they happen to be in the groups/ roles they were going to lay off.
Amazing how some people are minimizing the layoffs as if just a few people will be impacted. If this was the case why would Citi make a huge announcement and talk about the biggest reorg in 20 years. Why would they talk about 6 months process and having multiple phases of cuts. Why would they talk about reviewing every job and eliminating duplication. Why would Ms Fraser say that having less means more. If the goal is to eliminate only a few jobs they should come out and say it.
Honestly I don't want to get let go. I enjoyed my role at Citi so far and am glad I made the switch from my more toxic previous employer.
