Is the laid off date effective right away? Like effective date = termination date?
Or they would take away your system access first but give you a time period like a month so you can stay on the payroll for 1 more month?

“How does the layoff process be like?” Are you serious? Can’t even write a simple sentence.
If you’re really an employee, check your severance benefits. It’s all there.
Yes, that is the severance . I was or will be surprised if they keep us on payroll for a month or two or longer prior to getting severance.
The severance guide calls the this out, 8 weeks is generally equal to 4 pay periods.
"NON OFFICER
One and a half weeks of benefits annual rate, as defined in the Severance Agreement, for each year of service completed as of the last day of employment not to exceed
40 years of service. THERE IS A MINIMUM PAYMENT OF EIGHT WEEKS and a maximum payment of 60 weeks of severance.
OFFICERS
Two weeks of benefits annual rate, as defined in the Severance Agreement, for each year of service completed as of the last day of e employment, not to exceed 30 years of service. THERE IS A MINIMUM PAYMENT OF EIGHT WEEKS maximum payment of 60 weeks of severance"
If the current benefit for this round of layoff is to allow people to be on the payroll for four additional pay periods. I dont believe that is spelled out on InSite.
There is a guide posted to the benefits site that goes into great detail about how severance works, the benefits you're entitled to, and FAQs. I would encourage you to go read it if you are concerned about being RIFd.
The layoffs have already begun. You remain on payroll for two months (4 pay periods) and then your severance kicks in (2 weeks for every year of service)
Was your severance pay 1 week for every year or 2 weeks for every year?
I was laid off at the end of September last year, as of the moment the mysterious meeting in your outlook ends we were instructed to seize from working. I was then paid the rest of September then all of October. October 31st was the official last day for me. Hope this helps…..the severance pay was 11/15.
I heard they’ll keep you on payroll for 1 more month after layoff? Can someone confirm this?
What do you mean first layoff begins Oct 2? There have been tons already.
First layoff begins October 2nd with your last day being that Friday. Information sensitive positions will be same day. HR and Legal are already in receipt of these notices. Layoffs will go in waves so not to overwhelm HR.
