Are you seriously not understanding that this is the TOTAL number of people who are no longer at Centene as of July, not just Layoffs, but left for a new job, got fired for cause, retired ETC. Layoffs happen, been in several. Brush off carry on... If you really think its a violation get off here complaining and go whistleblow yourself.

November and December layoffs?? Does anyone have any more information on more layoffs this year or that can verify this?

I've noticed that they never posted positions for a lot of people this year who left the organization, so they likely just closed the positions. I lost 4 team members over the last year and was not able to backfill their positions. I think there were layoffs last year, Spring time, and August. They hinted at additional reductions for next year. I imagine at this time next year, we will be at around 58,000 employees. This round of layoffs will trigger those in safe positions to look at opportunities outside of the organization.

They never have the true correct counts with subcontractors and “new hires” that are really the new outsourced companies. BCBS & Humana does the exact same “employee” count games

This thread should be getting a lot more views as those are significant layoffs through the year. I am surprised this hasn’t had issues with the WARN act.

9,500 so far plus an additional 2,000 this week. That is over 11,500 employees. Plus the November and December layoffs. We could be looking at over 15,000 employees laid off for the year which would be a cut in 20% of staff. These are some pretty significant numbers!
