Thread regarding USAA layoffs

"Enhanced" PTO is more forced attrition

The powers that be have cooked up another forced attrition scheme. "Enhanced" PTO (time is accrued monthly rather than front loaded) will cause enough unrest that dissatisfied employees will undoubtedly leave. Add that to the 4 days a week in office required in January and the other horrific changes to the benefits package will certainly push more good people right out the door. Employer of choice, my @$$.

The Peacock is trying to be a worse leader than his protege Bob Davis. No longer will people be lamenting the dark days of the “Bob Davis” years it will be upgraded to lamenting the dark days of the “Peacock” years. He literally brought up Bob Davis in an all employee meeting as if that was a good thing to be associated with. That’s how clueless & self serving he is. Know anyone who can get into the board members ears? High ranking Genetals, etc???

I don’t agree with RTO, but for the record, Pat Teague said they over invested in employees not Tamla.

I’m not sure what the fuss is all about on the PTO, it’s the same amount of time off as we had last year. Just use your time off. Too many people push off time off then wonder why they have mental health issues. Take time away to recharge. I’m happy they are pushing us to take 15 days or honestly I would not take the time otherwise.

That “enhanced” benefits package is just another reason for me to force attrition myself. This prison life ain’t for me.

They can change the number of remote/hybrid days based on policy and then limit who can work remote/hybrid. Been there, done that. Look for policy changes in your area.

USAA is a failure! Is that ja----s that said they over invested in their employees still there?

I think it's geared more toward not having to pay out PTO when there is a mass exodus in March-May timeframe.

This only matters if you’re planning to leave or get fired/laid off with a negative PTO balance and thus “owe” the company for that vacation time.

I disagree. Front loaded is uncommon in most employers and also new to USAA really. So only those hired within the last couple of years would even care. The rest were used to it before and are used to USAA changing things and then going back to the way it was after failure lol
