Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Where are my Management Co-Workers?

Did you not get the directive to RTO? I have to be here five days a week in my organization and I rarely see anyone else here. How do you get away with this?

Its ridiculous how RTO requirements vary from org to org. I know people who were allowed to stay WFH. I've been WFH for over 2 decades but was told I couldn't even ASK to remain WFH. I started back to the office on 9/5, but I am only required to be in the office 3 days/week. I'm in a major hub, but its mostly empty. The place is a dead zone.
For many of my co-workers in other states, they have been told to hold off going to the office because their buildings aren't ready. For me, none of my co-workers or project clients are in my state. I literally drive 50 mins to the office to sit in an office all alone, talk to no one (other than socially) and then drive back home. Its such a waste of ga$ and time. Instead of calling it collaboration, call it what it is -- a pay cut and headcount reduction.
