And it certainly doesn't reward it. Facts.

dell doesnt have much
I’ll agree. Was in the doldrums at Dell for over three years. Stagnant as a DM in enterprise. They let me go, even though my reviews were good, but every assignment they gave me (except one) were dead ends. Go to a new and better tech company in Austin and have been promoted three times in six years. I have the talent and drive but Dell squandered it. Glad I’m no longer there.
Dell has never recognised true talent.
Look at the next gen leadership... all a bunch of mo--ns.
They'll only promote the people they like
Lots of favouritism
The amount of females sleeping with the leadership team just to get promoted is ridiculous!!
Only the inner circle ⭕️ are awarded and most folk won’t even know it.
It never did. That’s why it merged with EMC. Without EMC, Dell would be selling cr-ppy laptops and midrange servers. Dell doesn’t know how to build software. It’s a manufacturing company that has OEM deals with other companies. The three stooges at the top there, Jeff C, Jen F and Kathy A don’t know anything but how to run an e-commerce site. It’s 2023. Drop them so we can get some real leadership in those areas.
Surprised voluntary separation packages are. It being offered to the boomers they do not want.
Once you get that Dell is not a technology company, it is a manufacturing company, the better off you will be.
@1kjr+1oWp9m84 Its laughable.
They have no clue.
Shot term plans but no long term vision.
Thats the issue.
AI is hot topic and then when asked what their plan is for it, they have no idea. If you have suggestions, please let us know. That's how it was addressed at an ISG meeting this week.
“ Dell no longer recognizes talent”
It never did. I’ve been here over 10 years - I rarely see talent moving up, just those who play the game.
Is anyone here jumping ship? What department are you leaving?
@rrg+1oWp9m84 Couldnt agree more.
AI is new trend which is the hot topic at Dell.
Not one original idea or product.
No wonder customers wont trust us and sales are down.
Tshirt wearing goofball? That's not fair. He wears pants too. Almost always.
To think covid years were banner blockbuster years. 2 years of record breaking sales and demand for dell
Did they think of reinvesting in the company and employees? NO.
The guy with his name on the company even touted 'we are a fully remote. if you cant work remotely you are in the wrong industry.'
They then proceed to sell off buildings, land and employee amenities
Now his tweedle dee and tweedle dum execs [the tshirt wearing goofball] are seeing other companies have RTO. So they have to as well cause they can't have an original idea if there lives depended on it.
We have a massive sense of desperation from management and a huge disconnect between them and staff.
The fact that Tell Dell was never really addressed, the push back to office (which is a major issue) and crazy targets unattainable
With the addition of the push online it looks like it's a last ditch attempt to push natural attrition.
Targets are so high people really dont care.
What a horrible place to be at the moment.
Also if managment cannot look after what staff see in Saleworks what confidence would we have in them steering the ship in the right direction?
Yeah. I get a sense it's a squeeze as much as you can from this turnip before the lights go out game plan.
Instead of being innovative to drive up margins and gross sales, they are on a constant hunt to trim down expenses at all cost
guy who struggles with 4-letter words is back
tier guy is back
More wfr's are coming, Dell wants good enough, not good. No innovation, getting boat raced by storage comp. Think preEMC...Dell was lousy before EMC, they are going back to lousy, low, cheap talent. MD continues to get richer.
Dell is a Tier 4 company fighting for survival. It has aging workforce and it has not produced significant Tech Innovations for more than a decade. Of course it does not recognize talent - here the idea is to get rid of as much people in as painless way as possible.
Yes it rewards the skilled merit based hire by wfr.
That way the odd man is out of the team of " yes man".
If a person has earned his promotions in his career, it is a torture to fake praise someone to have a job.
So it is a reward to get wfr.
