Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

No future here

It's becoming pretty obvious to everyone that you can't rely on anything long term at Altice anymore. The higher-ups have concluded that layoffs are the go-to solution for all the issues piling up and knowing that that approach never really fixes anything, it's clear we'll be stuck in this endless loop for good. Much better to leave than deal with that.

Those "new" trucks are just a diff color wrapping, same old trucks holding on. Back away from the desk & open your eyes.

It’s comical to me how the sky is falling is always the m.o. around here.Quite the opposite in my experience over the last 3 years.Let’s look at the facts.New corporate structure, several new U.S. based call centers and the hiring of multiple well trained/equipped IN HOUSE TECHS.When was the last time you saw a new company vehicle(I’ve seen 3 in my market alone).Granted we get to see the horribly maintained and completely filthy/disgusting hand me down “Skittles trucks” (usually from the East coast/ya’ll should be ashamed).Call it what you want, but we ain’t starving over here.We aren’t losing our jobs and “we”have seen the progress that was promised many moons ago.Maybe you put down that breakfast burrito, and TBS that line issue. So quick to complain about what you don’t have and p-o p-o on the powers that be,but VERY slow to give props for any gains made.I’m callin it like I see it.Ya’ll act/post like a bunch of entitled children here.Personally it falls on deaf ears a lot of the time.Get out there,do the work,be the “change “ yould like to see.Escalate your issues and always remember we are NOTHING without paying customers. We’re literally unemployed if people aren’t happy with the service.YOU and I have the power to make that happen(albeit in a much smaller scale most times).Man up ,put your work boots on every day and let’s do this. That’s my piece.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. In my opinion what is now known as Altice USA will be broken up at some point and absorbed into the three largest MSO’s. The Suddenlink markets which have the largest footprint for AUSA was put on the market in hopes of a sell to help pay down some of the debt but none of the offers were accepted. In my opinion those offers were probably what Altice bought SL for or perhaps maybe even a little less. Now AUSA is going into another year drowning in debt with no hope of ever getting it paid. The SL markets are what brought Altice to the American market and will likely be what leads to the down fall of Altice in the American market place. You cannot run properties into the ground and expect a double return on your investment.
