Discussed transformation again and didn't give much info. These townhall are becoming redundant. Couldn't even answer much questions pertaining to the email that went out to the employees. They just want people to continue waiting until they start the changes

Yea the VOE is nonsense. They don't pay attention to the real issues.
Former employee here. I worked in Tech for the ICG in NYC/NJ before I was cut.
VOE was always BS. Whenever the topic of comp would come up in VOE result discussion, the topic was avoided. Always.
All these redundant Town Halls are just Gibberish and a waste of time.... !
The VOE was stressed to be completed whilst in the next breath..Citi's Re-Organization [RIFT] the Biggest in Two Decades.. Keep plundering on and Work your @$$ off...whilst morale is low and the barrage of multiple reminders-to wait and see-.

The problem are not workers. Sure perhaps 1% are lazy but most employees want to do their job. The real issue are the execs that have failed to lead Citi. Even if 20% of workers are cut, Citi will continue to struggle until the leadership is replaced with better ones.
Heard from several people in various groups also that no decisions have been made.
Employees, investors and the board need to demand change at the top level. We are tired of every time leadership fails, employees are being used as scapegoat!
From what I've heard via very senior individual, little has happened in terms of layoffs as decisions have yet to be made. Organizational leaders have to present on their organization to the executive management team by the end of November. Decisions come after that. If you've been laid off before that then the writing must have been on the wall for a longggg time.
I agree. Citi is sprinkling some buzz words just to fool employees and investors. Generative AI is not as the management claims. People learn buzz words from Business schools and just sprinkle them in their PPT's and speeches.

Generative AI is not what many are believing. These computers are not self aware nor they think. They are glorified search engines. Like Stuart said they hallucinate or make stuff up. They don’t understand reality. They are not alive. Putting our decisions and relying on these engines blindly will lead to disaster. Don’t be fooled by the latest tech fad.

Yes. I agree. It's very frustrating to hear the same things again and again. Remember to keep working hard and don't get distracted by the lack of information because we don't have answers yet. Total BS.
Promote Stuart to CEO and get rid of the others. He seems the most knowledgeable to lead the new Citi.
