Intel announced 100 layoffs 2 days ago but there are more than 2,000 ppl in CPM.

Axording to media, this is the 5th wave of layofs and counting.

The fab in Ohio is still a hole in the ground last I knew. No need for techs yet.

Isn't Intel building FAB factory in Ohio? I thought they couldn't find enough engineers to fill all the positions they have available.

These California legally required WARN reports are lagging indicators. They are put out closer to layoff exit dates. Most of us have already heard of those layoffs long before then.

it's easy to find out how many are in CPM. They're all moved under a few people in the org tree.

Intel not the only tech co. doing this, laying off every 2mos., staying under the radar, moving work to cheaper geographies, lower headcount will make numbers look better through the perceived tech downturn, etc.
