Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

The core of Dell is rotten

Been at h-Dell for 20+ years and currently working in h-EMC sales. Must have been through 7 or 8 different WFR in my tenure. This round is different. Any WFR is expected to do more with less, but the quota have always been generous after WFR when everyone is covering 3x workload. I made decent commissions after each WFR. This time not only they massively increase the quota to stupidity level, everything is a demodifier to punish salesmakers (smartprice, offline, product etc) instead of accelerators to encourage more sales.

End of the day, the next earnings report will be record growth and sales again with big bonuses and share incentives profiting at the top at the expense of employees working 3x harder in trying to make an honest living. The decisions at the top have turned into something toxic and rotten at the very core. It's no longer the same Dell valuing their key assets to fight on the frontline and build the empire for MD.

Could not agree more with this post. I spent 10+ years and over the last 18-24 months it got worse and worse. Data Center products are nothing but legacy bolt-ons that can't compete with the newer technologies. Product support for these products do not exist, support in general is so so bad. Big customers are starting to take notice, i can't recall how many times I have heard from a customer "I HATE DELL" It's an all to common theme that will continue to get worse. The number of sales makers that have been let go to save a dollar will be the downfall. The ex-dell folk are simply going to the competition to rip out all of the sh---y data center products to make a ton of $$$$$

One of my accounts has a motto, Five Years Out. They have a known goal. Dell management keeps changing the goals, remember APEX was going to rescue the company, now AI will
MD needs to look around at his cronies and shake it up, start with Jeff

Dell management and Dell leadership they both don’t know the policy and process.. every time when employee ask any question they will tell you to open ask HR.. funny they don’t even use their logic and do some little work.

Someone who has been with Dell for 20 long years calling it rotten is crazy.. why would you waste your life for 20 years at this place then? Like comeon! If it’s that bad, just MOVE on!! What a stupid post.

Dell Manager needs to provide solution for a problem. He cant do it. So he asks his employee. If the employee cant provide the solution , then they say " huh this employee cant even provide solution" and employee is marked low performing .
The upper mgmt also took that approach. No one questions why the manager or his manager were not able to find a solution and why only the employee is being penalized.

This should tell you how successful Dell is going to be in its new ventures.
