Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford and GM can survive a 40% UAW compensation increase

https://www.theautopian.com/ford-and-gm-can-afford-to-give-its-workers-40-raises-analyst/

Good take. The offer Ford made was bunk. Pure bunk. For me ending the two-tier pay structure is a deal-breaker. If Ford doesn't agree to that then no deal. The other demands have room to negotiate. Bottom line, a strike would likely tip Ford into danger of indirect insolvency. Our debt is just too high and continues to grow.

@kaw+1ooA6h6t This just signals the off shoring of more white collar jobs to LCCs. @kaw+1ooA6h6t maybe you will be next. One can only hope.

UAW workers are trash. I've seen it first hand. All UAW plants have worst quality by far when compared to mexico and china plants. I've seen the charts and been to numerous plants personally.

@kaw+1ooA6h6t - Do you really believe the leaders in C-suite really deserve the several millions they receive every year to direct us minions (who do all the work) intothe future of the modern mobility area? I'm sure there are other who can do the song and pony dance for far less.

@kaw Want to see how great Ford leadership is? Announce that Jim Farley is going to become Tesla’s CEO and watch Tesla’s stock immediately plummet to $12.00. The same would happen if any of Ford’s lauded leaders were announced as Tesla’s new CEO.

And why is it that the “stolen Tesla/Apple” leaders can’t perform at Ford and exit rather quickly? Could it be that Ford execs aren’t quite as impressive as they deceive themselves (and their sycophants) into believing?

@kaw+1ooA6h6t. Is the goal of a modern mobility company to decrease the mobility of the population while ki-ling jobs and profits? Then Ford has the right management team.

Without "c suite" which you people call our leadership, Ford would cease to function as a modern mobility company. I do not understand how so many employees are not supporting the difficult decisions that must be made for the company's future success.

Did anyone else catch Jimbo on Fox this morning? He was fumbling through his words, trying to explain what a deal deal he is offering the union. What a putz.

Our executives are greedy and unfit for service. The workers are who actually make value, and it's being sapped by the C-suite and investor dividends. Labor unity! Executive pay cut!
