I trust that the "tech has been affected" poster can enhance this board with more valuable contributions than this particular text. This site is supposed to be about layoffs and those that have been or fear they will be displaced, serious propositions, both. Some light banter is often refreshing, giving reason to smile. So "lighten up Francis " because I have it on good authority, tech was affected!!

I used to loathe the IHTIA posts because I'm in tech and I was uncomfortable with the idea of being laid off. I thought it was the d-mbest, most annoying troll besides the Qukoo.

Then one day, I have no idea why, but when I read it in a new thread I just burst out laughing. For some reason, it was absolutely hilarious and I sat there laughing for 5 minutes at the dogged determination of the original IHTIA poster. Something broke and it was magic.

After that, I have continually found it funny. When it started fading I decided to keep it alive because of how funny I found it once I just stopped giving a sh-t about WF was going to do. I can't control but I can damn sure laugh about up to, during, and after my job is affected because I know it will be, eventually.

Hey OP, what did you expect on an unmoderated forum where posters are anonymous? Serious, professional responses?

In light of the next round of layoffs coming up in four days, I wish to express genuine empathy as I heard tech is affected.

I heard Tech is affected is the lamest sh*t I’ve seen on this site. Go enjoy life maybe hang out with family or start one ;)

The joke only became a problem once tech really was affected. So long as it was just other kinds of employees getting screwed (RTO, mass layoffs, militant location strategy etc.) it was all fun and games.

No matter how bad it gets techies, and it will keep getting worse, never forget that it's always worse for the rest of the company. You guys have it good by comparison.
