CWA to make IHX union???

There’s a rumor going around that CWA plans to unionize IHX this contract. Has anyone else heard this? Not sure how “managers” lol can go union but if this is the case I hope CWA sinks…

IHX is where non bargained "managers" go to sink with or swim with a weight around their neck (Metrics). Many of them sink soon, thus eliminating a cost from the company. This is a good thing.

The Union has had the green light to unionize IHX for years. It's the lazy local union leadership that doesn't do the work

Because IHX entertains too much fraud. It is that simple.
CWA is wise to avoid dealing with the IHX sales issues. What? How many scams a day, no thank you.

Well they can't just make them part of the union workforce by waving a wand at them.

As a lowly Union Dreg that has been described as lazy by the fine folks on this forum. I do not want any IHX anywhere near me. IHX is where failed "managers" go to be fired. You think we are lazy, and file a grievous every month, but if IHX comes on board there will be a grievous and real cases of FRAUD every day. The tidying up that AT&T can do will be unprecedented.

We don't want you, we don't need you. We are happy to see the IHX channel flow ( at a great volume) "managers" out of the the company and on to the street.

Well let’s see. Does an IHX job require any sort of intuition or responsibility? If so, then it can not be a union job.

IHX is already union in a handful of states.

This would be a disaster for IHX and probably ki-l its profitability.

The only In Home Experts who sign up for this are the ones who either can't sell or don't understand that IHX is not meant to be a long term position. 2 years tops, then you move on.

What a disaster for them.

You all are not real managers, you do work that belongs to craft. That's why the NLRB gave the go-ahead to the Union to organize you.

Everyone Union gets a raise over the contract until everyone gets to top pay..so.e older IHX worker will no longer be 15k in salary short of New Hires pay Salary Over the Contract which the company refuses to do under their current bogus management title so everyone make more money and had keeps their current sick day policy and performance plans but with greivance rights and backed out objectives when using PTO and a expected 8 hour work day while being able to roll over a week of vacation to the 1 st quarter of the next year.Much better for IHX workers ...

Union contract has a clause specifically stating that performance management remains exactly how it was as management - does not require the behavioral bs retail does. Union contract does nothing to prevent you from being fired if you su-k based purely off results - unlike retail.

Benefits take a hit, top/mid performers lose money on the raise schedule but low performers get one at least.

retail reps have to install tv services as it is because there is no one to install it once it's sold - so maybe retail reps should be paid like IHX.......

“ IHX has already joined the CWA union in other states. So yes this is true. It’s a matter of time before all states join.”

Unfortunately it’s only a matter of time before everyone is looking for employment.

There are techs who still home garage. I'd love to see more union involvement however there's always a place and a time.

i doubt it, IHX is home garage with sedan; so by joining union they would lose salary plus commission and be paid like retail reps who are hourly plus commission and have to leave the vehicle at the business office?
