Word on the street is that Oct and Dec are going to see some more pink slips. Probably just enough people at a time so they don't have to report a mass layoff to the state.

Dish has been continuously laying people off for many months now and will no doubt need to do so going forward with its ever more tenuous financial position continuing to quickly erode (see "Day Of Reckoning Fast Approaching for Dish" post).
Dish actually laid off people last August right before Labor Day. One and done layoffs are not realistic anymore for Dish to solve their severe and mounting financial problems.
The company is constantly administering pink slips so it can apparently avoid filing WARN notices and operate without being reported on in the press as much as possible. That may not be entirely possible any more as Dish rapidly bleeds market share in both Sattelite TV and Wireless, and profitability continues to tank.
Unfortunately, if you're still working at Dish you've likely waited too long to leave on your own accord as the job market is starting to significantly soften.
Wish you and everyone remaining at Dish much success mapping a career path out of this terribly run corporation without much of a future, apart from bankruptcy that is.
