They are already preparing the offices for RTO. Ask anyone who does go into an office. There are techs testing all LAN drops. Real Estate replacing lights, shampooing carpets etc. I don't know the date but they are not fixing up the offices to leave them empty. Unfortunately just one more unknown here at VZ.

“Maybe the most famous use of 'quiet cutting' in the return-to-office era has involved rumors of employers ending remote-work options in hopes of employees quitting before the company is forced to conduct layoffs," Wigert said.”
Not specifically related to Verizon but good article on company layoffs. I agree that RTO may be the first thing they do to eliminate people

There will not be a layoff until after Nov 1. If they do one earlier, they expose themselves to lawsuits from employees being forced to choose between going to HCL or being fired.
VZ is too scared of losing too many people to RTO and probably thinks it can pickup some talent leaving RTO companies.
Stop it with the RTO, if it was going to happen. It would of happened already. As long as BR is filled with all the minions, that’s all they worry about.
Agreed, RTO would be the most effective, and wouldn’t require severance either.
One Fiber for sure
Next round of covid. Get your 10th booster v teamers.
BlueJeans will get hit & the sale to HCL with another 3K+ going. We might not see additional cuts
All lies
RTO is first
Verizon, now acquiring HooliChat
I thought they would require everyone to return to the office. By doing that, many people would either quit or try for another company. Reducing the headcount in that fashion.
Gotta get that new iPhone launched to help with our 4Q results!
haven't heard anything on the wireline side of the company.
A significant portion of the BlueJeans team, but not all, will be shown the door in October.
