Many interviewer said that I don't have experience in their industry. How do I make the shift? The longer you stay, the harder you get out.

I would advise that you begin with eighth grade English studies and try to build from that base.
I believe, and know for a fact from 50 years of employment, that every job teaches you things that you’d never think would help you in future jobs. But inevitably you need that skillset and so do other employers. I encourage a wide and open discussion in an interview. If you’re doing it right you’re both interviewing one another and you will have a friendship and likely respect for one another.

Maybe you should consider grad/business school. It can be beneficial to career switchers who are currently qualified for their desired career.
What's your job? Plenty of jobs at the bank have relevance in other industries. It's up to you to sell how your experience relates to their company.
