Remote EMG Need To Be Shown The Door

Now that we have started to implement RTO, it hasn't taken long to be in a Zoom meeting where there is a member of the EMG that is working remote. These folks need to be shown the door immediately.

To think that there are members of the EMG with direct reports who are now forced to commute into an office and then sit on a Zoom call with said
member of the EMG working remote is sickening to say the least. If Jim Syring was the CEO, nonsense like this would not be happening.

That’s a great idea. How about they just show all remote people the door. Problem super solved. Right.

Put in your two weeks and come back when everythings fixed, okay you are better off inventing a time machine and fixing it that way

The mileage radius should be 30 miles. Work at home 2-3 days alternate every week not 4 days.

Rules for thee and not for me.

That 60 mile radius is ridiculous. In some cities, 60 miles could take 2 hours. They should have just said "reasonable commuting distance" and left it to the manager's discretion. Let the employee work it out with their manager. Problem solved. If they did that some employees would actually want to go to the office but when you force them to it's a different story.

Then again, nobody ever accused USAA executives of having good leadership skills.

Let us start somewhere, where it matters!

Any VP level and up who are remote, show them the door. Lead by example.

There are remote EMG folks because 1) USAA has been in the dark ages regarding how to run a business for decades and they need leadership with actual talent vs. promoting on incestuous tenure alone and 2) those same talented people don’t all want to move to TX for so many legit reasons.
Additionally, Adm. Syring was a progressive leader who saw the value in expertise and hired many of those remote EMG.
What arguably wouldn’t be happening under Jim is this ridiculous temper tantrum of an RTO policy that “I grew up here” Wayne and his self-promoting sidekick Tamla are forcing on the employees. 2-3 days is hybrid, 4 days is full time office work and 60 miles is a brutal distance to travel from any USAA office.

I thought all EMG was required to be in offices 4 days a week starting 9/5. I might of heard unless they could make a strong case to be kept on staff.

Actually they need to backtrack on the forced RTO and allow true flexibility for everyone. Some people would come in if the want, the rest of us would stay put. That 60 mile radius thing is beyond asinine too.
