Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Things are not looking promising

For the past six months, I've been actively searching for a new job, but I must admit, the job market doesn't look promising at all. While there are some job openings and I have even received offers, the pay offered is significantly lower than what I currently earn. Don't even get me started on benefits. None of the offers were compelling enough to convince me to leave my current job. This has only heightened my anxiety, especially considering the lack of job security at Schwab right now.

@mmq+1p0GK89Y Check the jobs numbers for June. They quietly revised it downward in July and August, and by September it is half the number reported originally.

The things people will do for votes…

But the jobs reports have been so strong! Are you suggesting the current administration is... lying!?!?!

I’ve had a somewhat similar experience- no offers, but interviews and not hearing back only to find the requisition was removed or reasons other than failing the interview. It’s very frustrating. I’m waiting to hear back from 3 different hiring managers. One job is for marginally higher pay than what I make, the other 2 are about 10-15% more. I’m just in limbo. It’s tough.

Sorry you’re going through this.
