Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

4 days?

Someone mentioned we are going to be 4 days in office from February 2024. Has anyone heard this, is this for real?

4 day work week in office to save the company money? Aside from people making less money, are they going to lose benefits because they’re no longer full time employees?

The inside plan is to move to 4 day mandatory in office summer of 2024. Until then group by group and mostly voluntary

@5sjh+1p2Dm8WE I hear layoffs will be in February for home lending. unless you're in Manila- then you are safe.

It's voluntary, on a month to month basis, through March...as of now. Site manager said it's to save the firm money and they expect maybe 10% to take advantage. They also said management don't want to cut more CCS if possible since refinancing business should go up once rates go down. Of course who knows when that will happen and if all refinancing loans will go to Manila. No rumors of layoffs now. If they do happen I expect the earliest would be in February.

Wonder what will happen if they don’t have the enough number of people to do the s flex schedule. They will make it mandatory? Any one knows about layoff coming or they are doing this to prevent layoff

Thanks for the info, and yes, I would be all for 4 - 8hr days! I realize that it may not be a good thing for most, but this place is getting to me and one extra day away would be a welcomed relief. Hope that it is offered to my department!

Once again..dont get it twisted. They are offering a 4 day WORK WEEK. From nov to feb while business is slow. You can pick any day off you want but you have to take the same day off for the whole month. You can choose to do this for 1 month or all 4. There has been no talk of what is going to happen after February.

Yes is been mention cross the board on all the HUB sites Tempe, JAX and the others. Right now they said is voluntary not mandatory due to business but will be on a monthly basis and you need to let them know by end of October .some people mention they are doing that to avoid layoff but time will tell
