Did anyone hear about full time rollovers yet?
The most important life lesson the school failed to teach you guys - learn how to read the room kiddo!
If you are still in school then switch majors. Everything will get outsourced to india.

two weeks ago we got word from our manager the intern that worked with us got green git for a full time offer. time will tell
not my post but another intern. No one is hiring! graduating next year so have time!
If your the team you interned for had it's hiring manager laid off or your mentor was laid off, I would say its a bad sign. Add that on top of the general layoff and budget cuts.
IMO, do the legwork and hedge with interviewing at other places as you should in any case.
if they cancelled last intern program, some of us would still have jobs!
OP: Armed with what happened today, why would you want to onboard?
Also, how a little bit of empathy for what the affected are going through?
Is this really the time or place for such question?
Recruiters will be laid off!
