ExxonMobil upstream here. You folks will all be gone by August 2024, many will be gone sooner as we move our experts in to operate the ExxonMobil way. PXD people still employed in August will be ranked NI and NSI and will have the choice of a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) or three months pay (PIL) to quit. You will be advised to take the PIL as you won’t pass the PIP. Sorry, reality su-ks, not a fair system, but life isn’t fair. The ones who are let go in 1Q24 will be the seen by August as the lucky ones because they will have an easier time finding other jobs. Remember, it’s not personal, it’s just business. We Are ExxonMobil, you aren’t.
