Wouldn’t make sense. Ford Credit employs 5% of the workforce but produces 25% of the profit. Selling it would be a mistake
This would be a massive error. After last industry bankruptcy in 08/09, GM and Chrysler sold their credit company's. They have both relaunched them because you can somewhat control your destiny on financing credit worthy customers not relying on banks, credit unions.... This is one the historic strengths of Ford Motor Companys. They generate tons of cash and customer retention for Ford Motor Co.. If this rumor comes through Fords future looks very bleak!
