Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

HR monitoring or not.

I wonder if HR combs through these posts daily, correlates comments and feeds them straight to the upper echelon for consumption.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

HR is impacted the same way everyone else is. What an odd comment. In fact, the re-org causes the whole structure of HR roles to change and move, especially with the removal of regions and local titles. That will eventually impact you as an employee when it comes to comp, benefits, recruitment, etc.

The fact that HR gets "credit"/blame for laying people off is ridiculous. HR only does what the business tells them to. It shows how gullible you all are that you think HR has anything to do with the decisions being made. They simply carry out the orders.

They (HR) are supposed to be laid off and outsourced (per article).

There is no benefit to monitoring these boards. SOEIDs are not next to the comments so they cant tell who is saying what.

And the content of what is being said doesnt matter either because the audience is just an echochamber of people who came here to complain or look for layoff updates.

Now, if each new post went out as a top story on a major news network that the general public actually looks at every day, that would be a different story. I think some of you here forget what this site is, and who is coming to it. They really don't care, and if anything, would probably get pleasure in seeing people getting all worked up and letting their emotions get the best of them.
