If the 401k goes away, you know that is next on the chopping block. I think I'll look into cashing mine out. Would rather do it now and take a hit then wait for HON to use our HIPAC dollars to lobby the government to allow them to BF us yet again.

They will for sure lower the 401k match but not stop it, that is a stretch too far.
I don't think they have to match you 401k. If I'm wrong, someone who will let me know.
When it comes to our benefits. I really believe we will pick up the whole tab on our benefits.
They will be provided. You just pay for them. The 401k you'll match yourself.
This will make the workforce work Monday through Sunday. They'll keep the company running 24 hours a day and evening during the holidays.
You got to pay for all this stuff. So you going to work, and they have a workforce that loves her overtime.
You better be the age of 18 to 26. If for heaven sakes, they got to pay something for your health insurance. They rather have a workforce between this age so you stay on your parents health insurance.
I'm starting to see this at my division. They're hiring a whole bunch of young people. Between the ages of 18 and 26. Most of them are on their parents health insurance.
This means this is the workforce that they want. Expect older workers and people with medical problems. They were slowly start disappearing from Honeywell. They won't get rid of everybody. Otherwise, there'd be some class a lawsuits.
I expect 98% of company to be in this age range.
Why would you think that the 401K is going away….too many would quit. Fear trolling….
I got out after 50 and over 25 years with HI. Making more money, better benefits and work/life balance. Empower yourself, don't let fear control you. Just line something up before you go.
Watch out. Hireability in the sector is very poor after age 50, even earlier in many cases. Everyone really needs to factor a short career in their planning process. If you still need cash after 50 it can be hand to mouth, mediocre third-rate companies, nasty short-term contract jobs in Hull's Half Acre, etc. Dignity goes out the door for those still needing work after 50.
